Dear Band Family,

Welcome  to  the  2009  –  2010  band  year!  The Franklin High School Band program   continues to enrich our children and community through the gift of music and entertainment, but more importantly, by molding our children into good  citizens.   Band  helps  to  reinforce  such qualities as discipline, pride, humility, and team work .  This is clearly evident by the many awards and honors which the Franklin High Band has earned during its existence.


Our  purpose  as  the Band Boosters is to facilitate this learning, and the best  way  I  can  think  of  is through the donation of your time.  My own experiences with being part of the band family have been great.  I have met so many  new  friends,  young and old.  Being an immigrant into Williamson County ,  this  has  been a blessing for us.  It has also been a lot of fun, especially  time  at band camp and working the concession stand at football games.  Support the band, your community, and most importantly, your child.


It  is  our  hope  that  this  handbook  will  provide  you  with  valuable information  regarding  the  band program and our booster organization.  We have tried to include some information on every facet of our operation.  Of course,  you  will  have  plenty  of questions about FHS (band or school in general);  please do not hesitate to contact us. We have all been there and are happy to assist.
